Tested my first loads today!

I reloaded about 50 rounds for my 257 wby mag. I was super nervous but it was a overall success. Got some good groups and more confidence

Addiction indeed. The first shot was a bit nerve wrecking but after that it was pure enjoyment.

It was awesome. Creating my own ammo from basically scratch and getting good results was incredible

Here comes the bug!
Up a grain, down a grain, then 1/10s of a grain,
Then seating bullets shallower or deeper,
Then different primers...
It never ends!!! Always looking for that 'Tighter' group!
Then you wind up with groups you have to use a computer program to tell when they get tighter...

The Force (& OCD) runs deep in this one!

But then one day you realize that the experiments never quite repeat perfectly, and what you really need is a load that "feels" right, and you'll know it when you get it.
Congratulations, your journey has just begun.

"I guess I thought to myself F it if it blows it blows"

Just a friendly warning: don't get casual with the 257WBY.
If it blows, it will hurt really BAD.
I know for fact:life flighted to the nearest trauma center, lost 1/3 of the blood in my body, ended up with over 100 stitches in neck and face, permanent nerve damage to the left side of my face, shattered jaw with mouth wired shut for 3 months, and scattered metal particles in every part of my face not protected by my shooting glasses.
