Ballistic Tip stuck in Die
I managed to get a ballistic tip stuck in a reloading die. The bullet is not stuck just the polymer tip. Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, how did you get it out and what did you do to avoid future occurrences?

You should be able to screw out the bullet seeting stem and then it will give you some working room. At that point you can thread a small screw into the plastic and pull it out with a pliers.
I have never seen this happen to a poly tip bullet. |

I wonder, if that didn't work could you heat the die enough to melt the tip without annealing the die?

That might work, but if it didn't you may end up with a mess of melted plastic welded to the seating stem.

It's just like any other ballistic tip. You undress it (take the die apart). You carress it, you stoke it, you say sweet nothings to it, just before you stab your long needle into it and pry. Works every time.
Well!!! Almost.

You might consider putting it in the freezer. The tip will contract when cold and may drop right out with a few taps on the table top.
