If you are shooting green tips at our range's steel targets, the first response will be asking you to stop. There are varying other responses if you keep on.

A quick google search shows that to be false. Natural causes is number 1. Human caused (about 50%) is:
1. (By a large margin) Vehicles
2. Debris burning
3. Campfires
4. Firearms (primarily from exploding targets and tracer rounds)
5. Fireworks

Absolutely nothing about green tip.

Were you thinking of red tip? Tracers?

No. Not red/orange tip. Tracers are illegal in Utah. Green tip is illegal from June 15th to September 30th. Both illegal in Utah purely for fire reasons. Never see that pop up when you buy online though huh?

Human caused is almost all Utah wild fires. Camp fires being a lot, but then...green tip.

Newest fire in Utah. It was steel...

So my comment on people's behavior and cost to society...

Again, bonded Gold Dot/Fusion is better anyways.

You are aware that a lot of the human caused fires are blamed on shooting when the actual cause is something else...."cause, you know, bullets make sparks!!"

Does Utah have the restriction on off road vehicle use requiring the special heat shielded exhaust systems on motor vehicles??

Spark arrestors/flame dampers for chainsaws and other things like that??

and, do people follow them??

Most of the target caused fires lead to an arrest. So...
ok..

While doing some "research" on the M855 I found this very scientific video.

If I find myself facing down a '85 Monte Carlo, I will feel safe with my M855 ammo. I'll save the Gold Dots for another day!
