Mossberg 590 not picking up/chambering shells

Just picked up a brand new mossberg 590 and its not picking up the shells or chambering them. If I load all 6 it will pick up and chamber the first three, but the last three stay in the mag tube, and then when I bring the slide back forward the shells do pop out and then fall out the bottom of the shotgun. This is my third Mossberg and i have never seen this at all

did you clean it before shooting? sound like the cartridge stop is hanging up.

Haven't shot it yet, but I cleaned and lubed it right when I got it home.

Sounds like mossbergs problem if it is actually new or under warranty. They're usually pretty quick to fix.

Sounds like one of the shell stops is not releasing a shell for the shell carrier.

I've had to shorten the shell stop on a few but if you're not a gunsmith I'd send it back.
