My 1911's

First is a Colt Combat Elite Government manufactured in 2004. (looked up serial on Colt's website)
Second is a Kimber Grand Raptor II not sure on age. Kimber is prob the best 1911 I've shot besides my Dad's Les Baer Custom.

They are used A LOT!! were EDC until I bought the Glock, so they have holster wear and minor scratches from use/cleaaning.

Bought both guns used from a kid who's dad collected. Long story short, his dad passed and had about 70 guns for sale,(all gone now) and at least 20 of them were 1911's. These 2 barely had any rounds sent down range through them.

Felt bad buying the kids inheritance, would hate for my kids to feel the need to off the firearms I leave them. But either way it was a lucky score. What I paid for both is a little over half of the value of the Kimber.

I have no kids who are interested firearms, and there's not really any sort of nostalgic attraction, as they didn't know my dad, so don't have the sense of family continuity, either.
But, if the kids don't want what I now own, I'll be in no position to care!

The choice of Colt Combat Elite Government and Kimber Grand Raptor II is truly an outstanding acquisition. Both of these pistols are renowned for their quality and reliability.
The Grand Raptor II is truly one of the most impressive 1911 options available. Its beautiful finish and precise craftsmanship make it a coveted item among collectors and 1911 enthusiasts.
As for the Colt Combat Elite Government, it's a classic from Colt, and the 2004 model has an excellent reputation as both a service and sporting weapon.

My first 1911 was a Colt Combat Elite in the 80’s. I still have it.
