Best reliable gun for home defence and recreational shooting in a budget for the Philippines

Sooo are there any Filipino gun owners in this site that are willing to take me through around the catalog and give me an advice related to the title, I always liked guns and my family used to take me out shooting ever since I was a kid and I used to frequent a military base my bestfriend lived in and we would often go to the shooting range together and shoot some guns. I'm saving up for
one once I'm 21!

In the Philippines?

You have [two] three major firearms manufacturers in the Philippines, Armscor, SAM (Shooters Arms Manufacturing), and Metro Arms. Take your pick.

https://www.armscor.com/

https://sam.shootersarms.com.ph/

https://darc-ph.com/firearms/metro-arms-corporation/

[Edited to add Metro Arms]

Colleague was a Manila Police Officer who carried a domestically manufactured S&W clone revolver. He didn't trust it but it's what he could get.

Well, I've been looking at this gun when trying to find an affordable one but I don't know if it's even reliable (it probably isn't) especially with that cheap price.

The M202 is a very old model that hasn't been produced for many years. I own the more modern M200 and M206 versions, and they are both excellent revolvers. They are considered a "stealth buy," because they are good guns that most gun snobs overlook because of the affordable price.

If that site is selling them today, either Armscor is making the M202 only for sale in the Philippines, or the place is selling old stock. According to Genitron, that model was discontinued in 2008.

Here's a review of the two models that are currently available in the U.S.:

It's not just me. I know other people who have bought the M200 or the M206, and they are all happy with them.

I bought a M200 around a year ago just to see if the positive reviews were real. My local Rural King farm supply store had them on sale for $210. I had my doubts about this revolver, but was surprised with it. Very accurate with lead round nose reloads. But it doesn't like wadcutters one bit. In single action, the trigger is good, in double action it's not so good, but usable. For the money, I'm glad I bought it.
