Tapco AK-47 Mags

I just bought 3- AK-47 Tapco magazines and they will not fit in my Romanian AK. Not being aware that they would not be compatible does anyone by any chance had this problem or know if you can shave these down or do I need to take the loss? Thanks.

a lot of the WASR 10's i have seen needed to have the magwell filed to even have a regular mag fit correctly, a AK should have a little mag wobble.
to your standard mags fit tight?

Check out this site:

http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/model.htm

It has a wealth of information on Romanian AK's, and has a tutorial on how to get your mags to fit, and why they don't.

For what its worth, my Tapco AK mags fit my Bulgarian SLR beautifully, but will not fit in my friends Romanian WASR...
Like others mentioned, make sure you file down your mag well, and not the mags themselves.
