.338 Win Mag and Barnes 160g TTSX
I'm looking for a light load for my upcoming Antelope Hunt. I have a fantastic load for 210g TTSX, but it's a little much. Does anyone have any experience with the 160's. I have some Varget, IMR 4350, and H4831; and I'm trying to get my hands on some RL 15. Any help would be appreciated as I've waited 20 yrs for this tag
Thanks so much |

case of your choice trimed to 2.490" magnum rifle primers of your choice,id go federal 215 but thats just me COL 3.325" 68.5 gr of Hodgedons Varget, BUT reduce that by 5 to 10 percent and work up about 3200 with 160 gr with 24" bbl |

Thanks so much; I should have stated the obvious but I always start at least 10% less than someone's favorite

dont go more than 10 percent lower than the manuals maximum load charge.that can cause problems to.between 5 and 10 percent is good starting charge.
sorry the pecent symbol on my computer is broken, that why i write out percent.i tried to find loads for the other powders you mentioned but i could not find them.varget is very very versatile and have used it a lot in both my .308 and 6.5 rifles a very accurate powder and for pronghorn accuracy is premium |
