Help dating a S&W 32
I have a five shot S&W revolver. On the side of the barrel it has 32 S.&W. CTG
Serial number on bottom of grip and chamber is 119175. Various patent dates appear on the top of the barrel the last being AUG.4.85. It also indicates SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. Can anyone help with any information on this revolver? |

Serial numbers ran from 91418 in 1902 to 170000 in 1909. Quote:
The model 60 is the stainless steel version of the model 36. Production started in 1965 to present. In 1996 S&W redesigned the frame to chamber the 357 magnum cartridge. Quote:
It became the model 10 when S&W began assigning model numbers ~1957. Value depends on condition and can range from $250 well used to $500 in like new. Quote:
SN dates it to 1920's. Jim |

Thanks Jim. Any idea on the value? Have a chance to make a trade for it but the guy says he knows nothing about guns. He originally said it was a .357 but in the pics you could clearly see the .38 SPL markings.
