Suggestions on New Slide Stop for Kimber?
I need to order a new slide stop for my Kimber Custom Classic I. Any suggestions about a particular brand (McCormick, Ed Brown, etc.)? I would prefer a matte stop that will not require fitting. The Wilson bulletproof looks good, but the $50.00 price is a killer.
Thanks! |

Bite the bullet
Pony up for the Wilson Bulletproof. Its machined from barstock, unlike the others mentioned, and my experience shows that they "usually" drop in nicely. Sometimes, its worth the couple of extra dollars

90% of the parts we put in our custom guns are Ed Brown, including slide stops.

Thanks for the replies! I appreciate it. I ordered a new one last night; it is the Ed Brown Hardcore Slide Stop. I hope that it works out; at least it is guaranteed to not break. The Wilson looks great, but I can't afford it right now, so I hope that the Ed Brown will be O.K.
