at HD ranges, (0-25 feet) I shoot both eyes open, beyond that I tend to transition to one eye open. of course at HD ranges it's also front sight bang, and further out I generally get a good sight picture first

Peripheral vision allows for greater situational awareness. That's the advantage of two eye shooting. Practice it. I do.
But too bad my vision is going down the toilet.

I know I go with one eye for slow fire target and two eyes for defense practice and rapid fire.
