hundreds and hundreds of guns, ammo, reloading, books and everything else. The quality of the items approaches that of Sotheby's, I'm not kidding. You just don't get allot of Sotheby's buyers. Anyway, I bid on a few items and didn't get real close. But, my last bid, I hit the Mother Load. I got my Remington 121 Fieldmaster (22 caliber birdshot) pump action Smoothbore!!! These ran from 1936 to 1954. Bidding starts, me and another guy, that was it. Started at $300 and went up with only he and I bidding on it. There were four different variations on the Smoothbore and value differ greatly. Street price on this model is roughly $1200, right now. I bid $850 and won the prize!! This one stays with me. Take a look, smallest production shotgun ever made... :thumbsup:

the last 12" of barrel the bore expands to about 45 caliber! It's a shotgun, basically...

Mike, Remington invented the product Mo-Skeet-O. It included small black clay birds with that nomenclature on then and also two small clay bird throwers to go with the guns. Then they kicked it up a notch and marketed the products with three half naked Routledge girls who toured the country, demonstrating their Mo-Skeet-O products. Below are some pictures of the clay birds and the M0-Skeet-O girls. The name Routledge is the designer of the 121 Smoothbore rifle barrel.

I'll let you know how it shoots, when I have the opportunity to test drive the gun...

hate to resurrect an old post, but I finally found an old Ritz Cracker thrower to use with my Remington 121, 22 caliber birdshot smoothbore!!

I have the regular .22LR version, Model 12 handed down from from my Grandfather. Nice little pump action.

Does the Model 121 use the same shotshells we have today or were they something longer? Doesn't seem you could get much shot in one of these LR shotshells. What is the range on that?
