Mossberg 535 not cycling..
Hi all. I have identified the problem I think. The cartridge stop sometimes doesn't move to the side to allow the magazine spring to load a round onto the carrier. It seems to work a lot the time, but I have to rack the slide with way more force than what I feel is normal. Occasionally it doesn't matter at all and the stop won't budge unless I push it in. It is that last 1/8 of inch of slide travel that makes the carrier move the stop over. That last 1/8 you can feel. When it doesn't move it is not making that last bit of movement.
Is there a fix for this or is it a matter of break in. I only have I think 1 box of shells through it. Thank you. Last edited by baddarryl; January 10, 2015 at 12:54 PM. |

Look and see if the angled notch on the action bars is battered and the engaging surface on the shell stop likewise.
