Airsoft accessories on a .22LR/9mm. Bad idea?
I got no joy on my TruGlo vs BSA thread, but I did a bit of investigating and neither got particularly good reviews.
Admittedly, those who were unhappy had used them on 12G shotguns. I only plan to use my on my Ruger MkIII as a fun accessory when I have the shoulder stock fitted. I still don't want to buy junk though. I don't need Eotech/C-More either. Of the two models I lloked at the more expensive TruGlo seems the safer bet. There is also an even more expensive model from TruGlo at about €170 (Tru-Brite). That is starting to push it a bit, money-wise. Then I came across a reflex sight at half the cost of even the BSA. Single dot reticle, 4 MOA but only €57. It is sold as an accessory for airsoft guns. Airsoft may not fire really bullets, but with people running around they still can't be too flimsy. Would anyone consider this approach? Same with a picatinny mount laser. Very cheap for what it is. This would be for my CZ SP-01. Again, a fun gimmick at the price (€27), but would it take the recoil and muzzle blast of a 9mm? Thoughts?

Most of the cheap junk will absorb the .22 recoil which is very low or about paintball level. It will still break anyway in non-recoil related mishaps. The higher you go from there the more likely it will get beaten to pieces.
