Identification on Shilen 300 Weatherby Mag Barrel
Going through my uncle's estate, and he tinkered with building rifles. Have this barrel, a special match Shilen, that do no know what gun it lugged for. By measurement, have it at 1-1/16 x 12 TPI. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Looks like standard commercial Mauser threading, which would actually be 1.1"-12. Theoretically, it should have 55 degree Whitworth threads, but many companies cut 60 degrees and let the installer deal with interference and poor fit.
Shank length, threaded length, and dimensions of the breech face may provide some insight into which particular family of actions it may belong to. (Commercial, surplus, etc.)

If Shilen chamber it, I'd give them a call and they may have record.
