Model 1911

Hello, I have recently gotten my FID and pistol permit. I have been around firearms for awhile now, and have been able to test out a few at a local range before deciding to get one of my own. I am settled on a model 1911, but was interested in any opinions as far as a specific manufacturer, or any specifications I should focus on. I am from nortnern NJ as well, and any recommendations on where to purchase said firearm would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

(As far as preference goes, I am interested in the Colt XSE)
