Weaver Grand Slam

I've been looking for a good mid-grade scope for a Tikka Forest 30-06. I was patient and looked all over the place. I had about decided on a used Leupold from ebay, when I ran across a good deal on a Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40mm with the Ballistic-X BDC reticle (model 800472 for $149 shipped). I must say that I have been really impressed. It is very well built and is made in Japan. I really like the way that the power ring has the markings facing the shooter. The glass is high quality, with good resolution and great brightness. It is much better than my Nikon Prostaff, about on par with my older Nikon Monarch and not quite as good as my Zeiss Conquest.

I keep seeing posts asking for the best scope less than $200. Well, I can say that the Weaver fits that bill nicely.
