Anyone load 110g 30-30 Winchester?

I have a few boxes of 110 grain RN Sierra .308 sitting around and thought I would try them in 30-30 Winchester, just because I can (oh the joys of being a reloader).
I started off with 34 grains of Accurate 2495 per their loading manual. Min is 33.3 grains and max is 37 grains. (Don't use this load information without verifying for yourself). I loaded up 5 rounds and grabbed the Marlin 336 for some preliminary testing.

I have got to say, this load is not only fun, since the recoil is extremely light, but out of this gun at 50 yards, they were accurate too. I got a 1-1.5" group. I wished I brought the Chronograph now. Next time, I will and get some data.

I am not sure what I would use these rounds for except for plinking, since 110 grain is too light for hunting (IMO... at least anything I hunt). It was fun though.

Anyone else load 110 grains for the 30-30? What powder do you use and what performance do you get? What application do you use them for?

I've loaded Extreem 110g plated bullets in .30-30 with 7 grains of red dot for plinking. These are like shooting a .22 rim fire, fun and cheap....

I have loaded Sierra 110 grain hollow points for my H&R single shot. I used a fairly hot load and they would explode jack rabbits. The H&R was my "truck gun" for use on the back roads of the ranch on which I hunted. I used a 2 1/2 power Weaver post scope and it was great for night hunting. The rifle was short enough to get out the window quickly while the post was easy to see at night over a light. Used a sand bag specifically made to hang over the door of a car or truck.

FWIW I have a plinking load for that gun using 87 grain FMJ bullets I pulled from a tuna can of 7.62x25 commie ammo for my CZ-52 that had dead primers. Velocity only around 2000 fps, but they are surprisingly accurate.
