Kind of paint for front sight?

Hi all., Not sure if this is in the right forum, but here goes. I want to paint the front sight on my Range Officer as it is difficult to pick up targets with a dark background. I was thinking white model paint. What say you? Thanks.

I use day glow orange Testor's model paint.
