.223 bullets

Hello,

I am searching for bullets for my .223. My question is, am I looking for bullets sized .223" or .224"? Also, where do you find the best prices online? Thank you for your responses.

I am seeing this place called "www.priceinsanity.com" which seems to have good prices on their .224" bullets. $11.95 per 100 for Hornady

Your 223Rem uses .224" diameter bullets.

Your manuals clearly state this.

.223 diameter bullets were used in some of the older 22 Hornets. The standard dimension for modern firearms is .224" just like Servant said. I will echo his statment about a manual. I hope you have at least one for reference.

What quantity are you interested in? In bulk you can buy 55 grain FMJ for less than $0.08 each - shipped. You can buy 55 grain spire points for not much more.

I find that Wiideners has the best pricing for quantities of 1000. However if you buy 1000, you will have to pay the shipping. If you buy a greater quantity (consider your friends and a group buy) they will ship them free.

Montana Gold is another option but pricing for 1000 isn't nearly as good as case quantity.
