.223 bullets
Hello,
I am searching for bullets for my .223. My question is, am I looking for bullets sized .223" or .224"? Also, where do you find the best prices online? Thank you for your responses. I am seeing this place called "www.priceinsanity.com" which seems to have good prices on their .224" bullets. $11.95 per 100 for Hornady

Your 223Rem uses .224" diameter bullets.
Your manuals clearly state this. |

.223 diameter bullets were used in some of the older 22 Hornets. The standard dimension for modern firearms is .224" just like Servant said. I will echo his statment about a manual. I hope you have at least one for reference.

What quantity are you interested in? In bulk you can buy 55 grain FMJ for less than $0.08 each - shipped. You can buy 55 grain spire points for not much more.

I find that Wiideners has the best pricing for quantities of 1000. However if you buy 1000, you will have to pay the shipping. If you buy a greater quantity (consider your friends and a group buy) they will ship them free.
Montana Gold is another option but pricing for 1000 isn't nearly as good as case quantity. |
