Got my NRA ballot in the mail

Is there anyone worth voting for? Seriously.

I don't know these names (but I haven't looked closely yet), and I know to only vote for a few if even that many. Thanks.

The question might be is it worth voting at all?

When my membership laps in the NRA I will be joining the GOA.

Seems to me NRA is getting greedy and not seeing much being done on 2A

I am considering the same. If I understand things correctly, NRA membership is NOT required to compete in NRA sanctioned competitions. Is that true? If so, there is no longer a reason for me to be a member. The magazine is nothing to get excited about. They obviously are not in the fight for Second Amendment rights. I've been a member for near 25 years, kind of a shame to quit now, but might.

what have the current NRA leaders done in the Virginia fight for the RKBA? this isn't just a rhetorical question, as one of the laws mentioned in Virginia is the shutting down of all indoor ranges that are not law enforcement ranges. this means the NRA range in NoVa is in jeopardy.

I voted for Frank Tait. He's the only name not submitted by the nominating committee (got on the ballot by petition, I think.) Right or wrong, he's the only one I voted for; I didn't want to dilute my own vote.

Maybe we can get one good person on the board per year, if the whole ship doesn't sink before they can right it.

Good choice, IMHO. That's how I'll be voting, as well. Frank Tait, and ONLY Frank Tait.

I went through the list of available candidates and voted for everyone not currently on the board, plus Tait. Something has got to change at that org.

I'm a lifetime member, so dues are a non issue.....but they will not be getting any additional support from me until Wayne is gone.

I've been a member for several years, but WLP needs to go. We are not his bankroll. If he doesn't step down, I'll not renew.

At this point, he proves the NRA isn't an serious object for the advancement of the 2nd Amendment.

I looked my ballot over but could not distinguish the good from the bad so I tossed the ballot into the trash. I'll not be a part of that circus.
I'm going to sit on the sidelines until they clean things up in the organization. That also applies to further donations including the NRA round-ups that some vendors promote.

The problem is that all the candidates except Frank Tait were nominated by the committee, which is a subset of the current board of directors. And the current board of directors is the problem.

The way the NRA voting works (if I understand it correctly), the top 'X' vote getters are elected. That means if you vote for Frank Tait and five others, you have given five other (board-sponsored) candidates a vote each to beat Frank Tait. If you really want to see Frank Tait elected ... vote for Frank Tait.

Only Frank Tait.

Here are some web sites with notes on how to concentrate your vote, and suggestions who to vote for.

https://www.ammoland.com/2017/01/nra...bullet-voting/

https://www.ammoland.com/2020/02/202...otes-no-votes/

https://www.savethe2a.org/vote/

https://onlygunsandmoney.com/2020/01...y-choices.html

Dig your ballot out of the trash, vote for Frank Tait and send it in. Currently only about 6-7% of eligible members participate. If we don't vote, we can't make a difference.

NRA just called me doing a Survey. First question was who was the biggest danger to U.S. Gun rights? Bernie Sanders,? Joe Biden? I interrupted her and said Wayne Lapierre. Conversation ended quickly after that.
