45 Colt 225gn FTX (New load data coming soon)
Hornady is getting load data ready for us that hand-load. Data should be released soon on the 45 Colt 225gn FTX
This load is not for the older firearms as it is a higher pressure.

I hope it is in the 18 to 20 k range so I can use it with the "new" Vaquero.

There are any number of standard-pressure .45 Colt loads capable of sending a 225 grain bullet out at 960 fps, so this isn't a +P load by any stretch. I understand that the bullet is more aerodynamic but at the speeds involved, it isn't going to shoot significantly flatter than the old RNFP. It comes with its own set of potential problems, too:
