It stuck to my hands at the gun show.

I have wanted to add one of these to my 45-70 single shot collection for some time but just never found one in my price range until recently at a local gun show. Just don't see them very often. When the seller offer to reduce the price by an additional $100 I couldn't resist. It has a few stock dings but nothing major, bluing is 95 percent and looks as though it has been shot very little.

Very nice! Does it have an actual Buffington replica sight?

Mister, why do you carry a 45? "Cause Sam Colt don't make a 46."

No, it has the shorter M73 rifle and carbine sight. It has the flip up ladder with the movable V notched sight for shooting long range but it is shorter in length to the Buffington. It looks like the sight in the photo.

Looks like it was never issued.

It looks like an H&R.

Hawg, It is a Taylor & C0. Pedersoli import. Looking forward to a trip to the range to see how it shoots.

If it shoots half as good as it looks you're in business.
