A Savage measurement question
I want to get a Savage 110 tactical and replace the stock so what I need to know is the distance between the floorplate mounting screws on the 110 tactical.

What cartridge will it shoot, and is it a brand new Savage 110?
If it is a short action cartridge like .308 Win or 6.5 Creed the spacing will be 4.40" in current production rifles, all savage long actions .30-06 or .300 Win since the beginning have been 5.062" for the action screws. Quote:

Thanks for sharing that. I knew Savage had made many changes over the years which made it confusing. Never seen all the information in one place before.

If it's in 308, i would look for a Model 10 short action, rather than a 110 long action.
You don't need the extra 1/2 inch of length.

Savage puts both long and short actions under the 110 model name now.
