Honestly, I'd get a current Lyman reloading manual (they have a decent amount of data for lead) and work up a load from there. In my experience, Oregon Trail bullets work well when pushed faster than "normal" for lead. I guess it has something to do with the alloy.
They're definitely a quality bullet. |

Load Data for Oregon Trail Bullets?
Oregon Trail publishes loading data for most if not all of the bullets it manufactures. All you have to do is call them and they will either fax or email it to you.

I think they have their own manul for purchase. But yes, they are more than happy to fax/e-mail load data. Just give them a call.

Sounds like you don't own a reloading manual. IMHO a good reloading manual (or several) is essential. Get a Lyman 49th or Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook to start. Reloading sites and forums are great but NO substitute for for good reloading manuals. Most manuals have a "how to" section that answers a LOT of reloading questions, for beginner and experiance reloaders. Personally, I won't use any load data I see on any forum, maybe just me, but I know where all my reload data comes from.

actually - i have the current speer reloading manual, but they call for speer bullets in their load data. i don't want to be confined to spending high dollar for only one type of bullet simply b/c speer's says so. oregon trail are cheaper bullets.
