Sacrificed weekend

Reloading inside the air-conditioned house has been a lost cause for me .

Wife 1 Me 0

I've come to terms with that till we buy a bigger house and this has been my man corner of the garage since I started reloading.

I had to sacrifice a weekend of shooting to satisfy the OCD Demon inside me. I've been feeling a little crowded, I have a new press coming this week, and Ive got major bench envy with a reloading friend. Found a great bench topic on AR15.com and decided to bust it out.

Nicely Done!

Very nice bench but I'd miss the storage area on the left. Guess you could recycle the materials for shelves a bit less deeper than the originals.
A window unit mounted high on the wall, a space heater and an insulated garage door could make this a year-round man cave....I mean "reloading facility".

The shelf went to another side of the garage. Got rid of a bike hanging up so it could go there. Also was able to get my air compressor over to that side of the garage so now I can use it easily.

Can't wait for the new press! I just hope I don't regret not going larger with the table top. We built an 8x10 shed and I kind of wish we went bigger. This new bench is 6x3ft with the shelf taking up 1ft.

very nice, very organized.

you know how to even up the scoreboard with the wife? Take a saw and cut a hole in the side of your shed, and put a window unit air conditioner on there.

Shed needs a light, will come in handy this winter. I like those big white battery powered jobbers that you just touch to turn on. Beats running 110 out there.

Nice, nice job, that was a weekend well spent. Hang a double neon light over the bench, you can never have too much light.

Nice Job! Did you make sure it will fit through the door? I would have asked her to help you and when she complained how hot it was, tell her that if she really loved you she would let you reload in the house... (Never works for me, but I hope it works for someone!).

Don't get me wrong, I love Auntie Buck dearly, but sometimes I wish I were further from her when I spend time in my man cave. Can you put in an air conditioner for when you are spending time there?

I actually was laying in bed last night thinking "Dang how's this going to fit in my future man room!"

You mean we don’t get to know what kind of press you got coming till you get it?

Nothing too fancy. Just a Lee Classic Turret. I figured I needed to beef up the production but like the turret style cause you are more involved with each round. I think Im too new to tackle on progressive right now.

Excellent choice on the press. I have two. You will need turrets for each of the calibers you load. They are inexpensive.

This is what I have coming.

Lee Auto-Disk Adjustable Powder Charge Bar - For my 45acp
Lee Auto-Disk Powder Measure Double Disk Kit - For my 223

Lee Powder Through Expander Die 45 ACP
Lee Auto-Disk Rifle Powder Charging Die 22 to 30 Calibers

Lee 4 Hole, Classic 4 Hole Turret Press Turret
Lee Pro Auto-Disk Powder Measure
Lee Auto-Disk Powder Measure Riser
Lee Safety Prime Small and Large Primer Feeder for 2006, Later Reloading Press

I think Im going to buy another Auto Disk and Riser for my second turret. Right now I will only be using one for 223 and one for 45 acp.

Yep, good luck getting that one thru anything smaller than a sliding patio door. A/C window unit looking like the simplest way out.
