Pilkington’s Gold & Brown Finish
Do any of you have experience with Pilkington’s Classic Gold & Brown Gunstock Finish?
Can anyone send or direct me to a picture showing the Gold & Brown finish? I have a very old Springfield/Stevens single shot .22 that has a very worn and scratched up light colored brownish/gold finish. I want to refinish it with something similar to the original finish. Since it is an inexpensive gun to begin with, I suspect that the stock is made of birch or some other non-walnut wood. I’ve used Red/Brown Pilkington’s finish on light colored wood before, but not the Gold/Brown finish. I can’t find a picture of it on the internet. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
