Picatinny bipod recommendation for AR-15?

Any recommendations for Picatinny bipod for an AR-15?

It is difficult to choose with so many options in the market. I am looking for something a bit cheaper than the Atlas, hopefully not more than $100.

Harris does make a good bipod. I gave up on bipods a long time ago. They are not as sturdy/stable as a bag at the range. And they weight too much to carry around on the gun most of the time.

Some years ago I tinker toyed a bull barreled 24" Ar for long range varmint shooting. All up it's about 15lbs and shoots in the low 0.6s at 600 yds. All my shooting is from prone and I use a Harris. Mine pivots and has adjustable cant with a cant lock. Lots of bang for the buck.

While not an AR, i installed a picitinny section, from Caldwell on the forestock of my Stevens 200.
I'm using an imitation Atlas bipod on it. Quick detach. And Atlas accessories click right on including leg extenders, and different feet.

Which imitation Atlas are you using?
I looked into some of them but many reviews say they are wobbly or not tight enough and need extra shims.

The Harris are nice, I got one on my bolt action and my son appropriated it. : /

Anybody has experience with the Magpul ?

I'd go with the Harris over the MagPul. I tried one, and they are just okay. Passed it on to a friend. Imitation Atlas are pretty much anti-American crap in my opinion. I have seen a lot of them break at matches and I just smile.

Harris or Caldwell in the under $100 range. I have 2 of each and they work fine. Yes, I prefer the Atlas and the Warne, but their cost of $200 and $300 is much more than you want to spend.
