To all of those who run reloading companies; a question.

Do you have any good serial numbering systems for your reloads.?

I have found that having reloads and notes and boxes with notes written on the labels, that trying to match up reloads from several years ago to the notes in my log books to be a hassle.

My thought was to start numbering each 50 rnd box of reloads with a serial number then I can immediately reference to my notes and what I was thinking when I made that experiement.

So, do you all have any good box serial number techniques? I was thinking along the line of cartraige-#, ie 10mm-241 would be the 241's 50 rnd box of 10mm reloads.

Opinions or thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea to me, I keep a log and when I switch loads such as primers, bullets or cases I make a note of it.
Also make notes when I buy A new lot of powder, even if it's the same kind I'm already using.

Alternate is numeric or alphanumeric code on ammo container which keys into detailed log. Simple entry on ammo, details in the book.

I use a six-figure rubber stamp.
