Smith & Wesson E series scandium frame..

I've fallen in love with the s&w E series scandium frame. It looks like the perfect carry 1911. I'm going to be purchasing one with my tax return. Does anyone here one, and if so how do you like it. Thanks for any input given.

I had one.

It ruined 1911s for me as it was to damn comfortable and lightweight with literally all the customizations you can think of. I would love to own another some day if the funds permit, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

You'll love it. I absolutely loved mine. Which was the 4.25 Commander.

I thought to myself, "Self, what you need is a backup for your wonderful all-stainless GM-sized 5" bbl SW1911. In case you want to get work done on it and suchlike."

Yeah, what REALLY happened was I bought the scandium E-series CDR sized 1911 from S&W and my first all stainless became the backup. It disappears in a Milt Sparks VM2 clone IWB holster. Width and weight is such that it carries better than many compact & sub-compacts semis and most all revolvers.

Cooper was right: the LtWt Cdr format 1911 is probably the best carry gun to be had.

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful sidearms ever built by man.

I rest my case.
