Are the Blackhawk Gen 2 Knoxx recoil reducing stocks better than the original?

What is the difference?

Considering putting one on an 870 with a bead sight.

Take a closer look around for a critique of the gen II. Calguns is a good place to look and listen to that AIPI guy, but also do a google. IIRC, a probem with a spring and a cam on the gen 1 was fixed but they had a problem on gen 2 with the pistol grip breaking.

Only on the Mossberg version, and that's also been fixed (they recalled and replaced all of them).
