38spl 125 gr gold dot speer

I am shooting a S&W air weight 5 shot using the Speer 125 gold dot ammo.
Is there a "trick" to download 158gr SWC's to shoot to the same point of aim?
I was thinking that loading the 158 to the same foot lbs as the 125 gr might do it. I don't want to buy any more bullets if I can help it.
The Speer 125gr Gold Dots give a 920fps in the 1-7/8" barrel which I find amazing. I have a bunch of 158gr SWC's loaded with 4.6 grs of 231 that buck
pretty good, way more than the 125 gr.
TIA

The higher the velocity, the lower it will hit on the target.

Would seem to be in the 860 fps range from old Win data (4.7) max. At close range, does it really matter. Pushing a heavier bullet at almost the same velocity is going to "buck" more. Watch for lead bullets jumping crimp. Fire 4 , then check the OAL of the last round in the cylinder. Has it gotten longer? My 10 oz has a warning about using +P lead.
