Remington 700
This will be my first time attempting to build a bolt action, so please forgive me for any wrong terms or simple questions I ask. I had been trying to decide on a cartridge, which I have finally decided on 7MM PRC. Now my next problem, they do not seem to make the gun that I want. To make it simple the gun I want is what used to be the Remington 700 CDL SF. A stainless Remington 700 action, matte finished walnut stock, and stainless fluted barrel. But also in LEFT hand. To my best knowledge they never made a left hand CDL SF in left hand, and definitely not in 7MM PRC. So this brings me to my questions. I have found a place where I can get a factory Remington CDL LH stock and bolt. Its a 700 so the smaller pieces like trigger, trigger guard, etc should be easy enough to find other options if I can't find factory. The barrel I think will be the easiest piece as any custom barrel maker should be able to make what I want. But the one thing I haven't been able to find is a long action receiver, and especially not a stainless one. Does anybody have any ideas on where I could find a factory Remington Left Hand receiver, preferably with a bolt and stainless? Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me, as I say this is my first time attempting this. I would like to keep it as close to the factory Remington look as possible. Thanks

Try this place. You may need to call for left-hand actions.

I would recommend a Bell and Carlson or H-S Precision stock. I have B&C on two 700 Left Hand in 30-06 and 280. Superb.

I have a 1980 LH &00 BDL I no longer use (and haven't for 20 years) since I moved to Florida; maybe that is something that would work?
Now, I do not to violate any site rules; I am just stating that you may find someone like me out there with an older gun they don't use that you could repurpose

I am very tempted to order the complete action from hudges precision, but I have never heard of them and am a little nervous for that much money. Does anyone have any experience with this website? Thank you for all the links to options!
