Ruger m77-270

Hi just new to this forum. Have a couple of questions someone might be able to help with. Im in the process of buying a ruger M77-MK2 in 270 with a leupold vx-1 3x9x40 and have been told they have a pretty ordinary trigger. Has anyone got any ideas. Also some hand loads for shooting goats and pigs would be good cheers

Hey Ozzy(is that ok, or should it be auzi?)

I have several Ruger 77 MII's. THey have a fairly heavy trigger. If you can follow direction and use a hand file in very small increments, Hou should get a Timmney trigger and install it yourself. The adjustable trigger is great and works with the factory safety. As far as 270 loads, I have no numbers,. but would suggest Speer Bearclaws if you reload. That or swift Aframe, or Nosler Partitions.
