Ready for Perry
So, how many are heading out for the National Matches?
Getting ready now! This will be the second year for me and my oldest boy. The younger one (12) is going to shoot his first carbine match this year. He's just a little bit excited... |

Shot my first event yesterday, the Rimfire Sporter Match.
I came in 70th in the Open Sights class, shooting a 525-8X. Managed to squeak by with a bronze medal. Not too shabby considering I only just zeroed the rifle the day before, switched ammo brands at the match to use the provided Lapua ammo, hadn't practiced standing, cross-legged seated, or prone at all this year, and I had a jam that cost me a shot in the seated rapid fire stage. Also, the wind yesterday was something fierce. I'm doing the SAFS rifle school and EIC match next weekend, then the Carbine, Springfield/Vintage, Garand, and M1A matches the week after. Should be a good time.

Perry
Couldn't afford the time or money this year. Sad. A buddy of mine went to shoot pistols - he made the President's 100.
Next year. Pete
