What? No Declaration of Independance?
We got a great library going here at TFL, but I couldn't find The Declaration of independance anywhere. Did I miss it? If not can we get it? It'd be a great addition to the library for those who've never read it!
It kinda goes with the constitution, elaborating on the circumstances that led up to the inspiration of writing the constitution in the first place. (Sadly it reads like a modern day newspaper). |

I like the idea!
The Declaration of Independence is an even more inspiring document than the Constitution, IMHO. I have all the American State Papers formatted in HTML for use in a homepage that I never put up. I'll be happy to send them along to Rich if he's interested in using them. Has anyone else noticed that the text of the Constitution and Bill of Rights in our library has only 26 amendments. We'll fix that too! Thanks Edward!

Here you go...
These are pretty basic, but I think they'll work on most everyone's browser. Please let me know if you can view them or not. If there are problems, post them here so I can change them before Rich puts them up.
Rich - If these are put in the same directory, the link at the end of the Bill of Rights page to the page of other amendments to the Constitution will work. |

Constitution only. No Bill of Rights or other Amendments.
I can easily put these all together if you'd rather have it that way.

Amendments # 11-27 This page is linked from the bottom of the B of R page, so they need to be in the same directory.

Done, Dave. Thanks for the research and work. Even the link to the latter Amendments works like a charm.

Thanks also to Edward for pointing it out to us. Some of the simplest things often get overlooked, but attentive members always keep us on our toes.
Thanks!

All I did was have a good Idea. It was you good people that made it happen. IMO, it should be required reading, (That 5 minute handbook too, it's very good!). I've been all over the internet, and TFL is the best site of its type available. Even the so called Free Speech boards are merely free speech porn sites, where you can exercise your (inadequete vocabulary), free speech by talking s**t to one another! THATS not intellecually stimulating!
The speed which you guys jumped on this and made it happen is exemplery. THANK YOU ALL! |

Hey, BluesMan, do you have anything in your files on Jury Nullification? The more people know about thier true power, the more we (might) could slow some of this crap legislation down.
If you got anything on it, give it to Rich to post for us all. "Knowledge is Power" Thanks! |

Any chance of posting the Articles of Confederation?
If not, Blues Man can you send them to me if you have them? Thanks.

I have the Articles of Confederation in a reference book that is always by my side at the computer. I don't have them in an electronic format like the other State Papers though.
Sorry. |

Dog,
Gratzi! All I was coming up with was parsed versions that were used to illustrate the differences/similarities between the Constitution & Articles.
