ranges in north GA.

I'm a newbie to this site and i think it's great!
Any one know of any public ranges to shoot at in the North GA area? I used to go to the range up in the cohhutta wilderness area close to theTenn border but that is a long drive from Sugar Hill. any help would be appreciated.

Hello fellow Gwinnettian,
I live in Sugar Hill as well over by North Gwinnett High School. As for ranges I have been going to a Wild Life Management range just on the other side of Hall County/Gilmer county line. It's 42 miles from my house but its a covered firing line with benches with 25 and 50 yard distances. Best of all its free. E-mail me and maybe we can hook up and shoot.

WMA'S

Check your WMA'S...(wildlife management areas)...I live in Monroe, ga and many WMA'S have very nice firing ranges...check the web, but the Ga state web pages are very poor..keep looking and/or searching for the info you want, you will get it...
