25-06 with 117 gameking and RL22?

I can't find any legitimate published data anywhere for this combo. I'm thinking about starting about 48.0 and going up from there. If any of you have tried this combo let me know what you think, thanks

Sierra's 50th sez .... start of 50.0, max of 56.0 loaded to an OAL of 3.250.

Deer Slayer I am using 110 gr Accubond in my 25-06 with RL22 /CCI 200/ Win brass. I could not find any good data on this combo so I called Nosler, their customer service rep gave me a Max load of 53.5 grains with this combo. They have this load clocked at 3197 FPS. I clock it at just over 3100 with my chorny, no pressure signs and it groups at 3/4" MOA.

Homesick- I'm getting about the same results with the accubonds. I was getting exceptional accuracy with 51.5 grains at 0.010 off and velocity a hair over 3000fps so I didn't bother pushing it any harder. No pressure or anything I just figured I'd leave alone, groups were getting .4-.5" which I was happy with. The accubond is great I just want to tinker a little

Deer Slayer when I started shooting the 25 the lighter bullets just didn't hold up to deer sized animals. I shot one deer with a 100 Hornady and it really messed up a lot of meat. I have used the Accubond before on elk and was pleased so I am sure the 110 gr will do a good job.
I am looking forward to this fall to see how this load works.

Simple solution is not to shoot them in the meat.

Where did your bullet hit him?

Homesick- I have that concern a little with my pet load. Its a Barnes TTSX 100 grain. I have a few tags so I'm going to try the TTSX 100, Accubond 110, and the Sierra 117. I'll ATTEMPT to hit about the same spot on each deer for a fair comparison but we all know how that can go. I know they will all kill deer effectively so its more for fun, hopefully I can recover some bullets too. We'll see

Jimbob-the Sierra guys sent me the most recent 25-06 data this morning and the chart they gave lists 42.5-50.5..that does seem pretty conservative though? 51-52 grains with 115-120 pills of different brands and I never get pressure signs.

Jimbo I hit that deer in the front shoulder at about 150 yds. when it hit the shoulder bone it exploded.

Try placing the bullet a bit lower and further back, destroying the lungs instead of the meat on the shoulder.

I don't know anybody that eats the lungs, do you?

Lung shots do not always give the "Jovian Thunderbolt" kills that shoulder shots often do.... the deer may run 50-100 yards, but he won't go far, and won't get up after he goes down, which I have seen shoulder shot deer do.
