Bullet Suggestion

I have an AR-15, with an E.R. Shaw extra heavy bull barrel, 24", 1 in 9 twist. I am looking for a bullet suggestion. This will be used at the range, with max distance about 200 yards.

I was considering Hornady Bullets 22 Caliber (224 Diameter) 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail.

This will be my first ammunition that I am reloading. Thanks for any advice.

bullet selection

I would suggest the Sierra 69gr HPBT (#1390). it should fair well with your 1:9 twist.

I shoot Hornady 69 gr MBTHP, my AR really likes them. They are quite finicky about seating depth due to the long ogive. Sierras have a blunter ogive. Try both, see which one your rifle likes.
