Yugo 24/47 bolt parts
Guys I need some help from someone who has replaced parts on a M24/47 Yugo Mauser bolt. Can anyone tell me if a cocking piece and safety lever from a M98 will fit a Yugo M24/47 bolt? Thanks in advance

Thank you Wyosmith! Thank you! I know the receiver is slightly shorter, but I wasn't sure about the other parts on the bolt. I tried to do a little selfsmithing and it didn't quite work out for me. The lever would get stuck in the firing position and would not turn to the safe or lock positions. That was fine for sitting at a bench and shooting, but for hunting I didn't like it.

But the firing pin, firing pin spring and extractor won't.

Thanks Jim, I read in the older forums where those parts would not fit, but couldn't find a clear answer on the safety lever and cocking piece. I want to get it fixed. It was a gift from a good friend of mine.

One other thing guys to rap this thread up. Will the front sights on a Yugo 24/47 and M-48 fit on a K98? Is the dovetail the same size for the Yugo and the German Mausers? Thanks for your response.
