Magnum Primers in 38 loads
Is it safe to load magnum primers in a 2.8 grain 38 spc casing with 125 grain lrnfp. I got a box of mag primers mixed in with some primers I bought at the store somehow. Is it okay to shoot them in a 38 spc?
My friend has a 357, would it be safe to shoot them in the 357? I can load them after Im done loading for my 38, if I do I will use the nickel cases I have stashed so I cant mix them up. |

If you're not at maximum loads already, magnum primers will be just fine -- but they may shoot different. If you are loading to the max, you need to work up the loads again when using SPM or SR primers.
If it's just a couple of hundred, maybe save them for later when you might want to work up some H110 or W296 magnum loads.

It is the minimum load for a 38 special.

It will be safe.
It may affect accuracy.
