BP Gunsmith?
The hammer hand spring broke on my Uberti London Colt.
I asked around gun shops about installing one I ordered but they only work on AR-15's and the like... Can anyone direct me to a good BP revolver guy? Thanks. ZVp |

Go to
Enyaw.
Or just do it yourself. It isn't hard.

Doc,
I did one on a Piettia brasser but the frame opening was pretty large. The Uberti opening is way smaller. I tried fitting one and the timing was way off and the cylinder wouldn't lock up also the hammer would not cock and stay cocked. I don't want to mess the London up. It's too s Pith when it's working correctly. It needs a professional touch to get it right! I got lucky on the brasser fix. ZVP |

Just replace the spring in the old hand. You can make one out of a bobby pin.

i have only read about swapping the the spring, but it is staked in place. some use a single edge razor, the one with the backing on one edge, and a small hammer to open it in order to extact the old spring and install the new. maybe a small knife blade might work as well but it might not be the best use for a knife.

Do it yourself. Tap out the old one, fashion a new spring out of bobby pin, silver-solder in place. It will outlast you.

Taylor's will do it if you are not comfortable doing it. The will lighten the trigger pull if you ask.
