With regard to http://www.thefiringline.com/NonCGI/ubbcode.html, besides URL, IMG, CODE, QUOTE, LIST & EMAIL; are their any other fun things to play with to make our posts more visually pleasing?

You can also use the bold, italics and a combination of the two.

Other than that and the ones you listed, I think that's it. Remember, what's appealing to one may be appalling to another. Personally, I like the un-cluttered look of TFL. I get annoyed with some other boards and all the visual distractions.
