Laser etching issue on handgun
I recently purchased a Ruger SR40 and noticed the stamp/laser etching on the handgun seems to have a 9mm stamping under the S&W 40 laser etching on the barrel. Has anyone seen this before? Is it is miss stamping from the manufacturer?

It was marked 9mm.
Barrel was badly sanded and re marked .40. It's laser engraved, not stamped. |

Thanks Bill. Would it have come from Ruger like that? Seems a bit odd to me. Is this common?

I would think it came from Ruger like that.
Someone forgot to change the program on the laser. I have no idea if it's common. |
