Savage 110
Found a Savage 110 locally for $200 from a buddy's dad. Sound like a good deal? The blueing isn't perfect but it would be a hunting rifle so that's no big deal to me. Can anyone give me any info on this. The rifle in chambered in 30 06 Springfield. Thanks!

Well, if someone hasn't come along and said it already, good rifle...great chambering!
If you haven't heard Savage makes inexpensive rifles that shoot well. Does yours have the accutrigger? Another thing about them is changing the bbls out is simple (if you ever need / want to).

It's an ok deal if it's pre-accutrigger and a good deal if it has the accutrigger.
Ask if he'll throw in a box of shells. |

Savage makes a well built, very accurate rifle. The 110 is a tried and true model and the 30.06 is one of the best hunting rounds out there.
$200 isn't bad, try $150 or $175 and give it a shot.

I just picked up a 110E in 30-06 with a Tasco 3X9 for $225 last week. I thought it was a good deal. I am going to slick up the cocking parts on the bolt a wee bit. I also need to find some better scope bases so I can mount a better scope.

The Savage 110 action is great. I'd offer $175 for it being you can get a brand new Stevens (Savage) 200 30-06 for about $300 (which is exactly what the pre accutrigger Savage 110 was).

I have a pre accutrigger 110 in '06. It's not pretty, but it shoots to beat the band.
