Found This Treasure In Maine

On the used gun shelf asking $275. I wanted it and got it for $225 plus shipping to Tennessee. Star Firestar in nickel. It’s in mint condition and will be my new summer carry gun.

Nice score. I have a pretty nice Star BM and it’s a good quality pistol.

.40 S&W. Wished it was 9mm, but I can live with the .40

That’s a great gun and a great deal. Magazines are out there and firing pins too. Enjoy the gun. I have the same one in nine.

I love those pistols. Is it the starvel finish?

I hope you are a belt and suspenders guy!

One of my favorite single stack 9mm is still my Star UltraStar.

Great find. I used to have a Star PD 45acp. The Firestars were nice guns. The Megastar is awesome too.

Starvel is Star’s version of electroless nickel.

The M-43 Firestar was the 9mm, the M40 the .40 version and the .45 was the M45.
I had an M-43 that had been originally issued to the Guardia Civil, the gun was heavier than you would expect from a compact pistol but therefore pleasant to shoot and the M-45 made handgun of the year with American Handgunner.
