FTF deal w/NJ FFL dealer employee?

I know FTF sales of handguns is illegal in NJ. The buyer of my SP101 says he is a "pink card employee" of an NJ FFL holder.

Is there a legal way to do a FTF transaction with him or am I to ship it to his shop as usual?

as he is NOT the FFL holder it needs to go to the shop. the "pinky" doesn't allow him to do transfers without supervision of the license holder. I would be suspicious of the deal as anyone that works for an FFL knows this.
