PC'd some LEE 105gr swc.

Man I really need to get to the range.
Tried my Luck with some LEE 105gr swc. I shoot these in a whole bunch of guns.

.380, 9mm, 38 special, 357 mag. Good lead savers.
Here I have them loaded for the 9mm.

Well I toll ya I would give ya $90 for that ol messy "sticky bullet" sizin thingy you won't be needing much if anymore. You had better jump on it cause the value on them is dropping like a rock with every post folks read about PC'ing.....

I'm tellin' ya.... PC is here to stay. If folks don't just use it for clean bullets, hands and dies; eternal storage of lubed bullets at any temp with no puddling or cracking of the "lube", no smoke, no leading, and for the unlimited colors they can produce,.... they will use it just so they can buy the cheaper and more available alloys of stick-on wheel weights and range scrap and shoot that just like it was water-dropped WW or commercial ingots, and get better expansion due to shooting the softer stuff at the higher speeds.
And... don't forget all of those Lyman molds out there that already drop .001-.002 undersized... they are now perfect for the job!

And for the sale of the used lubesizers......... hmmmm.... older and no longer in fashion means "vintage" and "antique" in the sales arena. It is accruing!

Maybe I could put beeswax in it, turn up the heater and shove my round balls and patches through it to lube those? lol

I just started casting/loading for the wifes BERSA & while I`ve developed loads for the Lee 356-102 I`ve wondered if the 105swc feeds ok ???

I have a 2 holer 105swc ,but no way to make em PURTY

But I did coat these, and they load great in a GP-100!
Left is dry tumble powdercoated, right is electrostatic sprayed.

I think I may have stumbled onto the thing that may take me over the top on Powder Coating.
I have been dinking around for over a year trying to get cast bullets to feed through my Feeder dies.
My preferred lube was NRA formula. Used that for a very long time.
Bullet feeders just gum up with the stuff and after a very short while your taking it apart to clean.
Tried talcum powder and other powders. Helped but did not solve the gumming.
Tried harder lubes. This helps but eventually they still gum up plus my plinking loads like softer lubes. Not pushing these things all that hard.

I tried the plinking load for my Rossi M92 in 357 magnum.
LEE 125gr rnfp ahead of 5 gr of Herco will shoot the bull out all day long at 100 yards.

If these shoot as well out of my Rossi. I may be a full convert.
These feed excellently. No errors to report at all. Perfect feeding.

Oh the 105's feed well enough. Better in the 9 than the .380.
The .380 you really have to seat them deep and depending on your feed ramp.

I do use the barrels on my .380 and 9mm as a gage when loading.
For some reason out of the blue one wont chamber smooth.
I just box all the ones that chamber 100% easy.
I am loading these at .358 so they are fat any way. I suspect the sticky loads are a thicker case.
If this PC works good I may size these to .356 because I dont have to worry about saving the lube groove.

Think I`ll stay with the r1 105 Lee since I have it workin & the BERSA eats em ok.

Tell me ,what`s the initial investment on the PC , 1 color black is fine.

Since I just did it.
HF pc gun. Came to like 50 bucks with the 20% off coupon.
Paint was 4 bucks.
Acetone 6 bucks
Glass pitcher 6 bucks
Qrt Glass jar. Free steal from wife.
Powder free rubber gloves. Few bucks

You do need a air compressor for the PC Gun.
Also need a oven. Buy one from good will got mine for one whole Dollar.

Figure less than a hundred bucks your in business.

All the stuff I had to buy below,already had the old convection toaster oven and compressor,plus 2 free lbs. of OD Green PC from the local PC Coating business. I'll in the market for a used full size kitchen oven once I get the shop finished as I might want to do some mass production or larger stuff at some point.

I got a chance to try some of those .357 plinking loads in my Rossi M92 today.
Performance was on a par with my standard lube loads.

I am very happy about that, That means I can make good use of my bullet feed dies and not resort to buying jacketed or Copper plated bullets.

Time to make a couple more powder coating trays/

I paid $4.00 per lb. of Harbor Freight powder coat. I have tubs on hand from Ma's kitchen. $0.00. I have a toaster oven Ma didn't want anymore that I used for pan lubing, $0.00. I have a HF tumbler I bought several years ago used for cleaning tools, brass, etc., $0.00. Aluminum foil swiped from Ma's kitchen and that's about it for starting PCing bullets. My total investment was $8.00 plus shipping...
