sears model 14 help

how do you get the bolt out of a sears model 14 bolt action 20 gauge shotgun?

I can't find a Sears Model 14 in my cross reference lists, but in many of those shotguns the bolt is removed by either pulling or pushing the trigger as far as it will go and holding it while withdrawing the bolt.

i have tried that

i have tried pulling the trigger to remove the bolt and that did no good. this gun belongs to a friend of mine and it does not fire well when cold. i kind of figure it has a fouling problem in the bolt and needs taken apart and cleaned well but i can't seem to get to bolt out.
