.308 5th Load

Recently I bought a Remington 700 5R Milspec. Topped it off with a Nightforce 5.5-22x50mm scope. Here is a pic from the second time I took it out to the range. This was my 5th set of reloads. I think I can tighten it up a little. This was a five shot group with a cold bore.

Good shooting. I"m told that Varget does real well in the .308, but I've never tried it. I like Reloder 15 in that caliber. If your experience is like mine, you'll see the groups shrink as you shoot the rifle. Two things come into play. First, you're learning the rifle. Second, you're lapping the bore. Expect to see your groups shrink when you get to the 200 round mark.

That's kinda what I figured. I have 100 rounds through it now. All my new brass has been fire formed so I'm hoping that may help a bit as well. I've never had a gun that shoots so well! If it gets better that's just a plus. Going to see what kind of grouping I get at 600 yards this weekend.
